Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: 27.5 per week
Monday / Tuesday - covering P3. Thursday / Friday - covering P6.
Ferryhill Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Primary School Teaching team, on a fixed term basis. Ferryhill Primary School is a two-stream school and is part of the Broughton High School Learning Community, alongside Stockbridge Primary School, Granton Primary School and Flora Stevenson Primary School.
We are fortunate to enjoy extensive grounds including a playing field and forest areas. Using our grounds for outdoor education is an important part of our provision. We have a new, purpose-built nursery building and separate halls for dining, assembly and PE in the main building. We currently have a library an separate nurture areas within the school.
Our main priorities for the year ahead include further promoting the principles of a nurturing school, improving attendance, and continuing to improve levels of attainment in literacy and numeracy.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
