Frogston Primary School is a non-denominational primary school in South East Edinburgh established in August 2020. The school is situated within the housing development to the south of Frogston Road East with an outstanding new building and extensive, beautifully landscaped grounds. We have grown rapidly over the past three years and currently have a roll of around 400 pupils in the school and 120 registered in our Early Years.

We have recently received funding from Scottish Library Improvement Fund to create a Holistic Inclusion Hub at Frogston Primary. The successful candidate will work with families from diverse backgrounds to support them to meet, talk, learn and access resources.

We are looking for a Pupil Support Officer to lead this exciting project. Ideally the successful candidate would have experience of working in partnership with parents as well as supporting children and families in the community.

For further information please visit our website at https://frogstonprimary.wordpress.com or to discuss the post please contact Lorraine Lawrie, Head Teacher, on 0131 529 3738.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
