You will drive organisational change to improve performance and services while navigating current and future challenges. We are looking for an inspirational and strategic leader to lead our People Service Team and to lead and influence our People agenda, including Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Wellbeing and Organisational Development in an ambitious Modern Council.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate Services, you will be a key player in the Corporate Services Management Team. You will lead Council negotiations and consultation arrangements with the trade unions and provide advice to the Council Leadership Team and elected members.

You will lead and manage a range of functions within People Services - Human Resources, Health and Safety, Learning and Organisational Development and Corporate Business Support. The Service has an overall staffing establishment of 320 and a budget of circa £10M.

Your ability to form close and productive working relationships within and outwith the Council is key to ensuring Dundee is at the heart of developments, influencing change and attracting talent to the City.
