Job Description
Based at Fairmuir House, 365 Clepington Road or site, you will work full time, 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm and Friday 8.00am-1.00pm).
The salary for this post is in the region of £34,029.

You will be a time served apprenticeship/ Modern Apprenticeship/City & Guilds/SVQ 3, or equivalent, Carpenter and Joiner.Responsibilities
You will carry out all aspects of Carpentry and Joinery work on behalf of Dundee City Council Construction Services across a range of domestic and non-domestic properties, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and CS safe systems of work. Works including maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and newbuild/installations, all to the standard specified and/or to tradesman expected levels, to contribute to a high quality and cost-effective service to meet Customer and Service expectations.The Individual
You will have experience broad experience in all aspects of the trade, such as:
- First Fix (roughing), eg Partitions, floors, roof works, metal stud, dry wall, etc.
- Second Fix (finishings), eg doors, skirtings, facings, windows, flooring, kitchens, baths, stairs, facias/soffits, cubicles and IPS, etc.
- Final fix, eg all types of ironmongery.
You will also have experience in Window and Fire door installations (UPVC, timber, composite) and maintenance/service & repair all of the above.
You will have the ability to self-diagnose repairs, work, etc, site size and requisition materials, the ability to read and understand Architectural Drawings.
You will have broad knowledge of other trades, the ability to co-ordinate works and understanding of Health and Safety Regulations.
You will also require to be comfortable working at heights and working in confined spaces.
You will have current driving licence.
