Preventing suicide and reducing the rate of suicide in Dundee is one of our key aspirations to creating a healthy, prosperous and socially inclusive Dundee. Working in a hybrid style, based at home and 5 City Square, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Requirements

You will have a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject area.

Responsibilities

You will support the development of partnership working between all agencies involved in suicide prevention in Dundee, including supporting the development of a suicide prevention outcome plan. You will co-ordinate suicide prevention activities in Dundee and governance arrangements for suicide prevention.

The Individual

The Suicide Prevention Co-ordinator will act as the central hub for all suicide prevention activities in Dundee and specifically assist the work of the Dundee Suicide Prevention Group and manage a variety of sub groups and projects, such as those related to Suicide Prevention Week. You will have experience of multi-disciplinary working and developing positive partnerships, experience in managing projects or services, in service development and/or planning. You will have experience or skills in accumulating, collating and analysing data, knowledge of Microsoft Packages, including Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel. You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, the ability to contribute to the development of strategies and plans, the ability to implement and evaluate action plans and the ability to lead, advise, assess and respond to critical situations. Due to the nature of the work, it is likely that some flexibility will be required with occasional out of hours working. You will also need to be able to travel within and outwith Dundee area when required.
