You will have Post Graduate Degree (PhD or Masters qualification in Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Geography (or closely related subject), plus relevant work experience in academic or non-academic research setting.Responsibilities
You will take a leading role within specific duties, in line with the Urban ReLeaf project working in partnership with University of Dundee, relevant Council Teams and project partners.
Through stakeholder engagement and collaboration, development of tools and technology and project management and reporting, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of inclusive and participatory citizen powered data gathering campaigns in Dundee with the aim of informing urban green planning to increase blue and green infrastructure across the city with a focus on long term resilience and wellbeing.The Individual
You will have experience in devising, delivering and evaluating participatory, crowdsourced or Citizen Science projects and experience in Qualitative and Quantitative methods, data gathering and analysis.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects to completion, on time and within budget, knowledge of Action Research, Co- Creation methods and experience of social learning and collaboration platforms is also essential.
You will have strong written and communication skills to a wide range of audiences with experience of workshop facilitation, blogging, photography, web authoring and/or video editing.
The ability to research and analyse complex issues, draw out strategic implications and develop creative and practical solutions is also essential along with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and proven experience in project coordination and management, preferably in a research environment.
You will be prepared to travel internationally for project meetings and have a current driving licence.
You will be highly motivated and have the ability to work with limited supervision, have strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work. You will also have a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team across stakeholders.
