This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to play a lead role in the development of East Lothian Council's Active and Sustainable Transport strategy, which forms part of the authority's response to the Climate Emergency.
Educated to degree level you will have a significant interest and demonstrable understanding of sustainable transport.
We are looking for an individual who will work with a variety of stakeholders on the delivery of a professional service that maximises resources and delivers positive outcomes.
You will be self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines. You will also have an understanding and knowledge of transportation policy, legislation, and initiatives at local, regional, and national levels.
With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, and be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to analyse information and produce reports and with experience of presenting information in public forums.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Infrastructure and Transportation. You will be required to travel throughout East Lothian and within the Lothians to undertake the duties of this post.

Job Details
To contribute to and participate in new and ongoing project and engagement work to support the development of ELC’s Active Travel team’s efforts to stimulate a modal shift towards more active and sustainable workforce travel habits.
