This is an excellent temporary opportunity for you to contribute to the development and implementation of East Renfrewshire Council’s Digital Transformation Programme for change, working in the Business Operations & Partnerships Department on the key areas of digital, modernising and data; underpinned by a wider programme of organisational development. There are 3 programmes of change: Business Systems & Partnerships; Customer Experience and Workforce Productivity.

The ideal candidate will be qualified in Project Management training e.g. Agile, Prince 2 or with equivalent experience. The Project Manager will be required to work with the Project Management Office Manager, Senior Programme Manager, Programme SRO’s and operational staff on the development, design and successful delivery of digital change projects. These projects aim to support the department in the delivery of efficient, effective and quality driven services and improve services for our customers.

The post holder will be asked to plan, implement and deliver a range of complex projects in both an agile and waterfall way to deliver the expected outcomes and benefits of Digital projects within the 3 Programmes.  You will be responsible for project managing projects within all 3 of the Programmes depending on priorities.

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic project manager with experience of managing digital projects. You will have a strong understanding of the needs of customers and how technology can enable a positive customer experience. As a highly effective communicator you will be able to work with colleagues to achieve project outcomes and deliver change. Experience in delivering agile projects and change management are essential.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
