Technical Officer (Food Safety)

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Food Safety Officer to join the Environmental Health Team in Glasgow. 

Based within the Business Regulation team, you work independently to contribute to the delivery of the Environmental Health service within Glasgow. 

Applicants should hold The Scottish Food Safety Officers' Registration Board (SFSORB) Higher Certificate in Food Practice OR Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection and Higher Certificate in Food Standards Inspection.
 
A flexible approach to working, IT skills and a working knowledge of the role of a Food Safety Technical Officer within a local authority setting are essential. 

The Council is currently piloting hybrid home/office working in line with government guidelines, offers excellent work/life balance, flexi time and flexible working hours options, and membership of the Local Government pension scheme.
