Do you have the vision, skills and proven experience to be part of a team that delivers infrastructure or physical regeneration projects to drive economic growth and enable local communities within North Lanarkshire to thrive.

To support the delivery the Plan for North Lanarkshire, the council wish to appoint a Project Development Co-ordinator as part of the Enterprise Projects Team within Enterprise and Communities.

In this role, you will be part of a project team that primarily delivers the North Lanarkshire’s City Deal Programme, an exciting and challenging £277m regeneration initiative to deliver large scale infrastructure to stimulate sustainable economic growth for our area and the wider Glasgow City Region. A key focus will be on providing the City Deal team support on managing project budgets, financial governance and cost profiling. The remit of this role will also involve working across a number of delivery teams within the council’s Place service to coordinate project delivery and financial monitoring including the council’s Growth Team and Infrastructure and Transportation.

As Project Development Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of infrastructure and regeneration projects of ranging scale. You will work across the city deal team and Place teams and with external consultants to develop projects and support delivery with a particular focus on financial management. Project management skills will be critical with abilities to have an oversight of a project from inception to completion; working collaboratively across teams, services, partners and stakeholders; preparing and monitoring project documentation including cashflows and supporting procurement and the management of consultants.

To support project development and delivery, you will be involved in writing project business cases, funding bids and status reports in line with Council and GCR City Deal project management guidelines.

With a Degree, SVQ4 or HND in a related discipline, you will have significant relevant work experience in project development and delivery. You will also have excellent coordinating and partnership working alongside experience project budget management.

With a focused approach to achieving outcomes, you will be a self-motivated individual with a flexible approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting deadlines. Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are a prerequisite of this post alongside IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and at times the wider Glasgow City Region to undertake the duties of this post.

You must hold a current UK driving licence to apply for this role.

Working Pattern

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55-minute unpaid break)
  • Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50-minute unpaid break)
