We have a great opportunity to join the Business Support Team at Perth Grammar School as a Senior Technician.

As a Senior Technician you will be responsible for the preparation of resources and maintenance of equipment. You will participate in ensuring Health & Safety regulations are being adhered to across the school.

In this role, you will:

• Line manage the Technician and General Assistant.
• Adhere to the Council’s Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
• Work in partnership with the Council’s IT team to maintain and manage the school’s digital equipment.
• Support all practical faculties with resource management.
• Co-ordinate school minibus bookings and manage the fleet maintenance programme.
• Provide technical advice to colleagues.
• Support, when required, local primary schools with practical lessons.

As part of this role, you will be working with learners and colleagues every day. You will have the opportunity to participate in on-the-job training and your continuous development will be encouraged and supported throughout your career with Perth & Kinross Council.

The working days for this role are Monday – Friday with a recommended working pattern of 0800hrs – 1545hrs.

The Individual

You will work well within a team environment but also be able to work well on your own initiative, have good verbal communication skills and be willing to participate in any training relevant to role. Ideally you must be familiar with COSHH regulations and with the safe handling of chemicals.
