We have a vacancy for a School Technician at Pitlochry High School.

Pitlochry High School is an All Through School, within pupils ranging from 2 yrs in Nursery through to 16 years in Secondary. Pitlochry is a beautiful town in rural Perthshire.

Working as a whole school Technician you will support the teaching staff and facilitate learning and teaching at all levels.

You will ensure that equipment and teaching areas are maintained and that equipment Asset Registers are kept updated.

You will also be expected to participate fully in the support provided by the department to the wider school community.

A willingness to complete the MiDAS course would be ideal, although not essential.

The Individual

This role is ideal for a capable and confident individual who is willing to take on a variety of tasks.

The successful candidate will need to be well organised and have excellent time management skills.

The successful candidate should also ideally possess:

• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
• Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and proactive
• Supportive team member
• Digital skills to operate and maintain relevant systems and equipment (would be an
advantage)
• Ability to work and remain calm under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
• Ability to work on your own and with others
• Good knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations.

Full training will be provided, but we require a positive attitude and a commitment to providing a first-class service to both pupils and colleagues.
