Operations Manager - Renfrewshire Learning Disabilities Service (RLDS)

This is an exciting time to join Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership as part of our forward-thinking leadership team. As part of this team, you will drive forward the commitments of our strategic plan to enable improved health and wellbeing outcomes within our communities and strengthen our collaborative and partnership approaches.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, skilled, innovative, and dynamic individual to manage, lead and develop our services and supports for adults with learning disabilities and autism within Renfrewshire.

This key leadership post has responsibility across a wide range of HSCP registered day and respite services and a large fully integrated health and social work assessment and care management team with accountability for management, finance and budgets, performance and associated policies across Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.  The post requires a professional social work qualification and registration and has responsibility for statutory Adult Support and Protection work and activity.

As an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspirational leader with management experience in a complex organisation, you will support the Head of Mental Health, Learning Disability and Alcohol and Drugs Recovery Services by leading and delivering on the outcomes of the strategic Action Plans for Learning Disability and Autism and provide leadership, vision and direction in the delivery and development within the areas of responsibility.

It is essential that you are educated to master’s degree level or equivalent, such as a degree and a professional social work qualification and can evidence continuing, relevant professional development. In addition: you will have management experience within a large complex, preferably within the NHS or public sector with experience of managing and developing mental health, addictions and/or learning disability services. You will have a record of achieving organisational targets and experience of managing and developing services at a senior level.

In return, we offer a commitment to your on-going professional development and a highly supportive environment.  If this challenge is something you can deliver on, we’d be interested to hear from you.

Accordingly, during the recruitment process, if successful, you will be required to become a PVG Scheme Member. If you would like further information in relation to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, please visit www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.
