Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.
What we do:
Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for the Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Council areas in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists and Registers of Electors.

Who are we looking for:
You will have overall management responsibility for delivering the support of Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board’s IT Infrastructure by ensuring efficient, effective use of technology and IT staff resources. You will also contribute on an on-going basis to the development of IT strategy and policy to ensure The Board’s IT infrastructure and technology are protected and can deliver services in the most cost efficient and productive manner.
The postholder must have a degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent and it is desirable to have a managerial qualification.
You will have significant managerial experience in supporting an IT infrastructure and practical experience with computer networks, network administration and installation. You should also have experience in configuring and developing data privacy controls including physical, technical, and administrative controls.
The postholder must have knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software systems and a working knowledge on the latest cyber security threats, technologies, and best practice. You should have a specialised knowledge in configuring/administering Microsoft and VMware technologies including Office 365, Azure/Entra and vCenter and be skilled in training a team.
The personal qualities essential for this role are a committed, positive, professional and responsible attitude. Self-motivated with a proven ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse information and feed the data into strategic planning. The ability to anticipate and mitigate problems as and when they arise. Effective communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. It is also essential the postholder has a proven track in management with effective project management and leadership skills.
