Job Description

What is the role?

Under the direction of the Service Manager for Social Work Practice, ensure the opportunity for Social Work students to have high quality placements within the organization to meet their learning objectives. To assess and support those undertaking their practice teaching award and to work closely with our partners in Social Work Education and learning networks to develop and enhance the learning of Social Workers. This should be done in the context of legislation, policy, procedures, standards, values and SSSC Codes of Conduct.

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 11; the hourly rate is from £24.83 to £26.39 and the annual salary is from £45,315 to £48,162. Please note this post is temporary for 12 months. This post requires the post holder to be SSSC registered within six months of employment.

Interviews for this post are scheduled to take place on 01 February 2024.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
