ASSESSOR & ELECTORAL REGISTRATION OFFICER
Who we are:
Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.
What we do:
Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists, and electoral registers.
Who we are looking for:
The postholder will fully and completely discharge the statutory duties required of the Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and lead, direct and manage an effective Assessor and ERO service in accordance with the Board’s objectives and targets.
The Assessor and ERO must be a full professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. The post occupies a critical position within LVJB to achieve objectives and compliance across key legislation. You must be able to show that you can meet the needs of key stakeholders by adding value through helping to improve services while retaining objectivity.
You will be a driven, motivated individual who will be responsible for championing best practice, governance and LVJB’s strategic objectives.
You will be instrumental in identifying and delivering innovative service solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing individual who can communicate a clear vision for the future, manage teams, deliver results, set high quality standards, and deliver this role with presence and credibility.
