Newbattle Abbey College is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Curriculum Manager to join its management team. Reporting to the Depute Principal & Director of Academic Development, the Curriculum Manager will line-manage our Learning and Teaching Team and be responsible for operational curriculum management and the quality of learning and teaching across the College. The post-holder will also work effectively as part of the wider College Management Team to support day-to-day College operations and play a key role in achieving the overall strategic aims of the College.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about adult learning and access to education. You will be educated to degree level (SCQF Level 9) and have a teaching qualification (TQFE or equivalent), together with experience of curriculum planning, overseeing quality arrangements and working with adult learners in further or higher education. The post requires you to maintain effective relationships with external organisations, including Education Scotland, awarding bodies and a range of partners from education, local government and voluntary sectors. You will be committed to enhancing the student experience, developing access and progression pathways and the promotion of equality and diversity. The abilities to develop positive working relationships and to lead and motivate a staff team are also essential.
The successful candidate will join a unique College and play a key part in its future at an exciting time, receiving a salary of £50,394 (Level 2) together with a generous pension scheme and holiday allowance.
