This role will support Police Scotland’s commitment to build effective relationships with communities, especially minoritised communities and will shape, influence, and drive positive policy and practice change throughout the service.
You will focus on building relationships with and within minoritised communities to plan, initiate, facilitate and evaluate proactive and meaningful opportunities to enhance service delivery within the context of the national Engagement and Involvement Framework and the Public Contact and Engagement and Policing Together strategies.
You will provide advice and support to national and local policing divisions with regard to localised and regional approaches to relationship building with minoritised communities. This work will be in alignment of national and local approaches towards delivering our strategic outcomes.
This role will further provide professional advice and guidance, by utilising strong community relationships, to senior leadership teams and the Police Scotland Executive.
The postholder will work collaboratively across Policing Together Division and Strategy, Insight and Engagement in the day to day delivery of their objectives.
One Post will be focused on African and Black communities.
