Working as part of the Housing Management team in one of our housing localities, you will assist the Housing Co-ordinator to provide secure, sustainable housing solutions to facilitate residents’ quality of life, life skills, social skills, health and well being to enhance their social opportunities, health, education and interpersonal relationships. You will be involved in a range of activities including homelessness services, allocations, estate management, anti social behaviour, arrears recovery, assessment and delivery of individually tailored support packages to a wide client group within a designated area, including tenants from the local authority, Registered Social Landlords and home owners.

Educated to SVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline is essential, as is some housing experience with a sound knowledge of housing related legislation and practice. Good IT and communication skills, both verbal and written, as well experience in report writing are also essential. In addition, you should be committed to customer care and be able to relate to people, particularly the most vulnerable in our communities who need our support.

Placement on the NLC9 scale is dependent on applicants having extended housing experience, holding the CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing (Level 8 of SCQF) and demonstrating competence in a range of duties as detailed in the competency matrix for the post managed in conjunction with the PRD framework.

You will require to be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

It is a requirement of the post that you participate in the Out of Hours Homeless Standby Service roster during evenings and weekends. Payments for periods of Standby will be made in accordance with the SJC Salaries Agreement.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
