We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Project Manager to join our Programme Management Unit. You will provide professional Change Management (including programme and project management) for a number of key strategic programmes and major projects across the council.

 

Duties will include monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day progress of projects ensuring production of satisfactory documentation; developing implementation and contingency plans whilst managing project risks; overseeing budgets and reporting project progress including attendance at programme and other appropriate boards.

 

You must possess previous experience of project management with a demonstrable record of achievement coupled with knowledge of change methodologies; effective written and verbal communication skills, leadership and influential skills.  You will be self motivated with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst developing effective working relationships.

 

A degree or other relevant professional qualification or accreditation in Project Management is desirable.

 

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
