East Renfrewshire Active Schools in partnership with Enable Works and sportscotland invites applications for our Modern Apprenticeship post.

This Modern Apprenticeship offers paid employment to a young person with a disability, who is 16- 24 years old and living within East Renfrewshire, with an interest in working in sport.

A disability could be a physical, learning or sensory impairment, which may also include (this list is not exhaustive):

  • ADHD
  • Dyslexia/Dyscalculia
  • Neurodivergent
  • Autism
  • Dyspraxia

The role combines on the job learning, with support, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

The successful applicant will be employed on a fixed term 18-month contract, working 25 hours per week, and will work towards achieving the SCQF Level 6 Sports qualification. Annual leave entitlement will be in line with East Renfrewshire Council conditions of service.

The training will be provided on-the-job within the Active Schools Team.

The successful candidate will be expected to follow health and safety steps and attend all training.
