Job Description
Based at Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a temporary basis for a period of 18 months.
The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30. You willl have 3 Nat 4s or equivalent in relevant subjects Or significant experience in similar role Or equivalent (including Foundation Apprenticeship.Responsibilities
You will work as part of a team to learn and assist with providing support, fault diagnosis and repair of IT systems, applications and devices. You will assist in providing first line support and triage of service incidents and requests. Learn and assist with the updating and administering of Council IT Service Management system ensuring service level agreements are met.The Individual
You will have experience of using computers and dealing with customers over the telephone and have strong written and oral communication skills.
Good problem-solving and organisational skills, the ability to input data using a computer keyboard and genuine interest in customer support, IT and/or technology is essential.
You will be willing to work out of hours as required and be committed to a full Modern Apprenticeship and completion of SVQ 2 Business and Administration.
