Job Description
Based at Environment Services office at Floor 2, 5, City Square, you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a temporary basis for a period of 18 months.
The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30. You will have 3 National 4s, including English and Maths or Relevant Foundation Apprenticeship or equivalent.Responsibilities
The Greenspace Earn & Learn Apprentice will provide support to the Greenspace Team in the Environment Service. The Environment Service has a statutory biodiversity duty. Along with team members and officers from other service areas the post will enable Dundee City Council to deliver its biodiversity duty.The Individual
You will have experience or interest in biodiversity and conservation. Good written and verbal communication skills including delivering group/public events, accuracy and attention to detail, planning and organisational skills, teamworking skills and use own initiative is also essential.
You will be committed and have the ability to complete the full Modern Apprenticeship and to achieve SVQ 2 in Rural Skills (Environmental Conservation).
