Abbeyfield Perth Society operates Viewlands House Care Home on the western side of Perth. Viewlands House is a 32-bed care home, with excellent Care Inspectorate grades. We are a charitable organisation and have been providing quality residential and nursing care for our elderly residents for over 30 years.
We are looking for Care Assistants - Permanent (full time and bank) to join our team at Viewlands House. Various hours are available.
We pride ourselves on the happy welcoming atmosphere of our homes. Our aim is to ensure all our residents are happy and comfortable and can feel as independent, yet as supported, as possible.
As a Care Assistant, you will be part of the team maintaining high standards of care and service towards our residents, their relatives, visitors and other members of staff. You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide person centred care to 32 older people.
- Complete documentation as required.
- Participate in social activities with residents.
- Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.
Skills and Experience:
- SVQ Level 2 / Level 3 in Health & Social Care preferred but not essential
- Caring and sensitive to the needs of others
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to provide emotional and social support
- Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect
