Ark has been successfully supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and Complex Support needs to live good lives and make their home in their communities for 47 years. Providing over 16,000 hours of support a week, we currently support over 400 people across Scotland in 12 Local Authority areas.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Ark as Senior Resource Co-ordinator. This new post is a critical for Ark as we move into a new phase of organisational development and implement our Care & Support Strategy.

Reporting to Ark’s Information Management System (AIMS) Development Manager, the Senior Resource Co-ordinator will develop a team of Resource Co-ordinators which will support the organisational objectives in relation to staff deployment and the operational use of our digital rota management system.

You will:

· Develop a detailed working knowledge of AIMS with a particular focus on the rota management system.

· Develop and manage a team of Resource Co-ordinators who will work closely and support Operational Managers to deliver services and support change management.

· Act as a first point of contact for all departments within Ark in relation to AIMS queries.

· Support your team of Resource Co-ordinators to develop an understanding of supported peoples’ support packages and their support requirements.

· Lead your team to create, maintain and develop effective staff rotas and manage resources efficiently.

· Produce regular reports demonstrating the imapct of the team and development of the system.

· Support the ongoing training and development of staff in the use of AIMS, contributing to the production of guidance materials for Ark staff to support their use of the AIMS.

· Regularly review feedback to produce recommendations on how to improve AIMS.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Experience developing and/or managing staff rotas.

· The ability to think creatively in relation to resource deployment/meeting capacity.

· Experience using digital rota management software

· Experience leading and managing teams.

· Experience of managing change.

· The ability to monitor and analyse data and create reports.

· Understanding of Learning Disabilities and peoples’ support requirements.

· An understanding of social care/social care services.

Please note that while this is a Hybrid role there will be an expectation to be in the office a 2 days a week. Initially there will be a requirement to attend office more to allow for the recruitment & development of the team. This role will also include the potential requirement for travel across Scotland to Arks services.
