Casual Cook positions in West Lothian!

We are recruiting casual cooks to work within our Retirement Housing with Meals developments.

Within West Lothian we have the following locations:

• Brae Court, Linlithgow
• Carron Court, Bathgate

Typical shift would be 09:30 – 17:30 with 1 hr unpaid break. Shifts will be offered on a casual basis to cover planned and emergency leave. The ability to accept shifts at short notice would be desirable, however not essential.

You can choose to work at one or both and although this advert is for West Lothian, you will have the opportunity to work across all Bield services.

The role of a chef/cook within our West Lothian developments is more than just cooking. You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.

You will be - 

• Responsible for the provision of a flexible meals service, offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money to tenants in a retirement housing service.
• Assisting  with the ordering, purchasing and storing of food commodities working within the food budget.
• Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and where appropriate outside regulators are met and actively promote such standards within the development.

What We Offer

• Casual Assistant hourly rate is £14.07
• We pay 50% of the cost of Disclosure checks
