Fantastic NEW Deputy Manager Opportunity in Dundee

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our Retirement Housing Plus teams in Dundee, working across Balgowan Court and Bonnethill Gardens.

The Role

As a Deputy Manager you will assist the Manager and Area Team Leader to manage the Retirement Plus service in order to ensure that service users and staff can enjoy a secure and comfortable environment in which support services can be delivered flexibly in accordance with Procedures Manuals and Operational Policies and Procedures.

Hours of employment are detailed below:

35 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis.

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a management position managing resources for older people including care planning, medication and effective liaison with statutory and voluntary agencies. An S/NVQ Level 3 in Care/Health Care, or equivalent, and an additional supervisory or management qualification are desirable combined with experience of working in a senior position caring for older people who have dementia and a genuine interest in the promotion of excellent standards of care for older people. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and experience of managing, supporting and developing staff are essential.

The successful candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme through Disclosure Scotland and be able to meet the requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council within regulatory timescales.

It is a legal requirement and condition of your continued employment that you achieve and maintain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) in the category and register part appropriate to your role or another relevant regulatory body (as recognised by the SSSC) such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council within 3 months of starting employment in this post.
