We're recruiting a Personal Development Worker to join Ruby's well-established and supportive team in Renfrew, where she lives in her own home and is supported 24 hours a day to live the life she chooses.
Ruby is a vibrant, outgoing young woman with a fantastic sense of fun and a busy social calendar. She loves being out and about, spending time with people she cares about, and making the most of every opportunity that comes her way.
What does Ruby love?
💖 Disney everything!
🌈 Her collection of Rainbow High dolls
🎢 Adventure and excitement, including short breaks to Alton Towers and riding rollercoasters
✈️ Holidays abroad with her team
🎉 Clubs, discos, parties, and social events
💄 Makeup, beauty treatments, and self-care
👗 Dressing up and expressing her own unique style
🤝 Spending time with friends and meeting new people
Ruby is a real girly girl who loves looking her best, having fun, and socialising. She enjoys living life to the fullest and is looking for team members who share her enthusiasm for getting out and about and trying new experiences.
What will your role involve?
As a Personal Development Worker, you'll support Ruby to continue living the life she chooses while promoting her independence, wellbeing, and personal outcomes.
Your role will include:
✅ Supporting Ruby to access her community, clubs, parties, holidays, and social activities
✅ Assisting with planning exciting days out, short breaks, and holidays
✅ Supporting Ruby with self-care routines, makeup, and getting ready for special occasions
✅ Encouraging Ruby to develop and maintain relationships with friends and family
✅ Helping Ruby achieve her personal goals and aspirations
✅ Supporting Ruby to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home
✅ Completing all aspects of household duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, tidying, shopping, meal preparation, and general housekeeping tasks
✅ Supporting daily routines, appointments, and activities
This is a hands-on role, and successful applicants should be comfortable supporting both Ruby's active lifestyle and the day-to-day responsibilities involved in maintaining her home.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who is:
⭐ Positive, enthusiastic, and energetic
⭐ Reliable and compassionate
⭐ Confident supporting someone to live an active and fulfilling life
⭐ Organised and willing to assist with all household tasks
⭐ A great communicator who enjoys building positive relationships
⭐ Adventurous and ready to embrace new experiences
⭐ Someone who doesn't mind the occasional rollercoaster adventure!
Previous experience in social care is welcome, but your values, attitude, and enthusiasm are what matter most.
Why join Ruby's team?
This is much more than a support role. It's an opportunity to make a genuine difference while having fun along the way. One day you could be helping Ruby choose the perfect outfit for a party, the next you could be enjoying a thrilling day at Alton Towers, preparing for a holiday abroad, attending a local club, or helping her keep her home looking its very best.
If you're looking for a rewarding role that combines fun, adventure, community involvement, and making a positive impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.
Come and be part of Ruby's journey - every day brings something new, exciting, and full of sparkle! ✨🌈💖🏡🎉✈️🎢
