As part of the role you will provide some direct support to the person, to role model, mentor and coach new team members. You will play a crucial role in helping the person recruit new team members. You will lead on ensuring the person receives high quality support which is personalised, meaningful and aspirational, and that the person we work for is empowered to enjoy everyday living and are part of the community they live in.

About You:  You will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. You will be a people-person, authentic, assertive, flexible, patient, confident and resilient. You will also be a team player who can work to your own initiative and not be afraid to ask questions.

Your Skills:  You will manage Personal Development Workers to support people we work for to achieve their aspirations. You will be a resilient and motivated individual who is able to manage teams and support them to realise the aspirations of the people they work for. It is essential that you can demonstrate effective communication, IT skills, planning & prioritising of work, relationship building and multi-disciplinary working skills. A relevant qualification in line with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) requirements, (an SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care) or be willing to undertake study to achieve this.

The Reward:  Be part of a dynamic, forward thinking organisation working actively to promote and implement a human rights based approach. As well as supporting people to live their best lives and being a key player in a dynamic team.

As part of the Falkirk and West Lothian team, this role is hybrid, working from home, the communities where people we work for live and occasional travel to work alongside peers in a set base within the area and attend meetings/training.
