Personal Assistant

I am looking for an engaging PA to help me with all daily tasks. I am a 32-year-old woman living in Dumfries, I have a condition called Rett syndrome. This affects all aspects of my life. Due to this I need help with showering, toileting, taking medication and eating as well as small domestic tasks.

I need someone who will encourage me to walk around the house and able to push my wheelchair out in public. When I go out, I enjoy getting out around the local area or getting a bus and going up town. At home I enjoy watching Disney films, visual stimulation and listening to music. I communicate through physical cues so need someone who is willing to take time to understand these.

The working hours would be Monday and Tuesday, 8:45am to 5:15pm, totalling approximately 17 hours per week. We would need the successful candidate to be flexible, as there may be opportunities for additional hours over time, including covering holidays or staff sickness. Full training will be provided where required, and we are happy to support the successful candidate in becoming familiar with the role and our procedures. fThe rate of pay would be £13.45 per hour with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata. A suitable PVG is required.
