At Corbenic, we believe everyone deserves to live a life filled with purpose, dignity and opportunity. As a Relief Support Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs to live fulfilling, meaningful and independent lives within our unique residential community in rural Perthshire.
This is more than a support worker role. You'll become part of a welcoming and supportive community where person-centred care, meaningful relationships and opportunities for personal development are at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
This is a relief position, providing flexible cover across our residential houses and services as required. Hours are not guaranteed and will depend on the needs of the community.
As a Relief Support Worker, you'll work alongside our established teams to provide practical, emotional and personal care support to residents, helping them to enjoy everyday life, develop their independence and participate fully in the community.
You'll support residents with a range of daily activities, both within their homes and across the wider community. This may include supporting individuals with personal care, preparing meals, attending appointments, accessing activities and developing everyday living skills.
No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while contributing to a positive, safe and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities

Build positive and respectful relationships with residents, their families, colleagues and other professionals.
Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and organisational policies and procedures.
Support the safe administration of medication in accordance with Corbenic's medication procedures, following appropriate training.
Maintain accurate records and communicate relevant information to colleagues and managers.
Promote the health, safety and wellbeing of residents at all times.
Work flexibly across different residential houses and services to provide cover where required.
Participate in mandatory training, supervision and other relevant development activities.
Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager or the Community's Senior Leadership Team.

An understanding of the importance of promoting dignity, choice and independence.
The ability to build positive relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
The confidence to work independently, use your initiative and respond appropriately to different situations.
A flexible and dependable approach, with a willingness to work across different houses and services.
An awareness of health, safety and the wellbeing of others.
A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support and upholding Corbenic's values.
