​​​​​​​Based in Bishopbriggs, our fabulous #TeamColtpark is recruiting now for compassionate and patient *female colleagues who have great listening skills and a positive attitude to join them as a Support Practitioner on a permanent basis.


​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.


​​​​​​​The Role


You will be joining a dedicated team of Support Practitioners providing support to 4 able bodied, individuals with learning disabilities.


You'll play a crucial role in supporting these individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, some aspects of personal care, meal preparation, administering medication and the management of personal finances. You will support them to do the things they want to do out in the community and accompany them on any outings, including when attending health appointments. You will take an active role in the planning and delivery of person-centred care and be supportive and encourage the people we support to express their views and wishes.


Our aim is to enable the people we support to live a fulfilling and valued life, where they can achieve their own personal goals and aspirations.

​​​​​​​Shift Patterns

Our friendly team provides support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our shift patterns consists of mostly mid shifts 10am until 5pm, however there may time we'll need you to cover a sleepover shift which is 10am until 10am the following day.


Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £84 per night.

​​​​​​​Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
