Are you looking for a job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere? You're in luck as our #TeamHighlandWay are on the look out for Support Practitioners to join them part-time (16-30 hours per week) and relief basis.


The Role


The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. You'll become part of a dedicated team who supports five individuals with various support needs to live in their own homes. Their homes are all situated in the same housing support complex, so there will be no travel needed while on shift.


As a Support Practitioner, you’ll assist the individuals with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping, medication and personal care. You’ll also support them with their hobbies and interests too. Your support will play a huge part in helping them to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community.


About You

All we’ll need you to bring is;

  • A caring attitude and approach
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive approach to learning
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
  • Confidence in the use of computers.

Shift Patterns


As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, waking nights, weekends and public holidays.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.


If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
