Looking for a new part-time job that's filled with job satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? You're in luck as a rare opportunity has arisen to join our fantastic #TeamHay in Elgin on a part-time (20 hours per week) basis.

The Role

You'll become part of a friendly, fun team that supports four fun loving individuals (two ladies and two gentlemen) to live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. Your main aim will be supporting the individuals with their day to day needs which involves personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.

With all four individuals being active and enjoying being part of their local community, you'll also be supporting and participating in their hobbies and interests which include, swimming, music, going to concerts, throwing parties, pool, fishing and meals out to name a few.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • Good listening and communication skills
  • A caring attitude and approach
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • A positive approach to learning
  • Confidence in the use of computers.

Going out for drives is a popular activity so if you're a driver that would be great, but it's not a deal breaker for the right candidate.

Shift Patterns

We're dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, so shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers, so we'll need you to be flexible to work across these shift patterns.

Typically you will work 4 sleepover shifts each month. Our sleepover shifts are not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £96 for every sleepover you work.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
