Our fabulous #TeamHerries have an exciting opportunity for creative, caring *female colleague who loves a good chat to join our them as a Support Practitioner.

The Role

You will be joining a small, dedicated team of Support Practitioners providing a twenty-four-hour housing support service to three fun loving and chatty ladies in Pollokshaws. The people we support have learning disabilities and other complex health and support needs; one of the ladies requires a wheelchair to get around. The service has a charming sensory garden and is situated in a lovely area on the Southside of Glasgow and close to several beautiful green spaces, which the people we support enjoy visiting.

With a focus on maintaining and promoting independence, you will work in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, cooking and helping them to take care of their home. You’ll provide emotional support and companionship, and enable them to pursue their hobbies and interests, which include reading and music, anime, karaoke, going to the gym and swimming. They'd love for you to support them find more fun and interesting things to try!

There's never a dull moment with #TeamHerries as the ladies we support are very sociable and enjoy getting out and about, not to mention a tasty bite or a bit of retail therapy.

  • upbeat, energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
