Looking for a brand new part-time job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? Look no further as our Community Support team is growing, so we're now on the look out for new caring, supportive and flexible *female colleagues to join us in the Dumbarton & Clydebank area!

We have permanent opportunities available ranging from 16 to 30 hours per week and relief contracts too if you are looking for something a bit more flexible.

The Role

You'll become part of one of our fun, friendly and dedicated teams who provide support young people and adults with various support needs within their own homes and communities. There's never a dull moment, every day is different!

As a Support Practitioner, you'll support and assist the individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances. We're also looking for you to be enthusiastic and creative when supporting with their hobbies which include karaoke, arts and crafts, live music, going for walks and to the shops along with trips to the cinema and much more.

About You

You don't need previous experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC yearly registration fees too! However, for these opportunities, we will need you to have a full, clean manual driving licence as most of the individuals we support have their own mobility car.

What we'll need you to bring: -

  • An understanding of the importance of routines and following guidelines
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • A full manual driving licence

Shift Patterns

We understand that you would like to have a good work/life balance and it's incredibly important to us that you have this, so we will try to be as flexible as possible with our shift patterns. Support is provided for this service are 10am-4pm Monday - Friday.

The majority of our shift lengths are between 3 and 6 hours, depending on what suits you and the person you will be supporting.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
