Looking for a brand new part-time job that's filled with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? You're in luck as our amazing #TeamTeindland in Elgin are looking for new caring, outgoing and sociable *female colleagues to join them on a part-time (20 or 25 hours per week) basis.

You don't need experience in care as a Support Practitioner or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

The Role

You'll become part of a friendly, warm team who supports two fun loving ladies to live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. Your main aim will be supporting both ladies with their day to day needs which involves personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.

With the ladies also enjoying being part of their local community, you'll also be supporting and participating in their hobbies and interests which include, swimming, going to the cinema, singing, music, arts & crafts and gardening.

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • Good listening and communication skills
  • A caring attitude and approach
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • A positive approach to learning
  • The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too)
  • Confidence in the use of computers.

Going out for drives is a popular activity so if you're a driver that would be great, but it's not a deal breaker for the right candidate.

Shift Patterns

We're dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, so shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers.

Typically you will work a minimum of 4 sleepover shifts each month. Our sleepover shifts are not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £96 for every sleepover you work.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible, so reserve the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Have any questions? If you'd like to find out more, please contact Marie Rourke on 07770946376.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
