The Role

You'll become part of a friendly, fun team who supports an amazing fun loving gentleman who has cerebal palsy who lives in his own home.

Your main aim will be supporting with all aspects of his daily living. This gentleman leads a very active lifestyle and enjoys going for walks, day trips, swimming, going to Costa for coffee and cake, exploring and technology. Although, we're looking for someone who is fun and outgoing, you'll also need to be able to adapt to enjoy quiet times and have the ability to think of fun activities to do when the weather isn't so great too.

  • A caring and patient attitude and approach
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Confidence to lone work
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in the use of computers

It would also be great if you have a full UK driving license and at least one years' experience on the roads.

As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts for this opportunity will involve working 1 x 15 and 1 x 16 hour shift plus sleepovers per week. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
