Are you committed to delivering excellent service provision for older people and people with learning disabilities? Then come and join a progressive and expanding organisation who are investing in the local community as well as it’s people!
As Eildon’s care services are growing across the Borders, we are developing a Peripatetic Team who will operate at some, or all, of our care services, to support the delivery of services when others are on planned or non-planned leave, with a main focus on providing support overnight.
We are seeking to recruit two Peripatetic Night Support Workers who will play an important role in the team at Eildon’s Extra Care Housing services at Dovecot Court, Peebles and Wilkie Gardens, Galashiels (West Team) and Poynder Apartments, Kelso and Station Avenue, our Learning Disability service in Duns (East Team). Working predominantly night shifts between 9pm - 8am, it would be great if you were also flexible enough to pick up additional hours between 6.00pm and 10.00am to cover hours on late and early shifts when additional cover is needed.
Our Support Workers ensure tenants are provided with the means to maintain independent tenancies in a warm, friendly, and safe environment. You will be directly supporting tenants in their homes by providing individual advice, practical housing support assistance, direct personal and emotional care.
For this role you must have prior experience of supporting older or disabled people living within their own home, ideally in a supported housing environment.
You must have an SVQ3 in Health and Social Care. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staff, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learn and use new tools as they become available. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Eildon’s vision and values.
In return Eildon offer a competitive reward package and a range of benefits. This role requires membership of the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme and SSSC Registration.
