Come and join a progressive and expanding organisation who are investing in the local community as well as it’s people!

Eildon Housing are looking to appoint two full-time Senior Support Workers for our new learning disability service in Kelso.

Having frontline supervisory responsibilities, these important roles will support our team of Support Workers, from induction to on-the-job coaching, role-modelling care practice, through to the provision of formal and informal supervision. With responsibility for rota management and scheduling, these roles will ensure service users receive the right support at the right time, as well as responding to day-to-day care queries and complaints, and carrying out a range of quality assurance and administrative duties.

If you have experience of supporting others to deliver excellent quality care and have a robust knowledge of SSSC Codes of Practice and the Health and Social Care Standards, this is the position for you! You will ensure we deliver on our promise to support service users to maximise their independence and citizenship. You will empower our staff to deliver person-centred care and support that meets service users’ identified outcomes.

Experience of working in an inclusive multi-disciplinary approach with a continuous focus on development and quality improvement would be an advantage.

You should ideally have (or be willing to work to achieve) an SVQ4 at SCQF Level 9 in Social Services and Healthcare. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staffing, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learning and using new tools as they become available. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Eildon’s vision and values.

You will need to be able to work a varied shift pattern, including waking nights, over 7 days, with individual requirements being discussed at interview stage.

This is an exciting time to join a forward thinking, rapidly expanding organisation, that provides creative, high-quality care and support to a range of individuals who live in their own homes.

If you feel you have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you. We offer a competitive reward package and a range of benefits. This role requires membership of the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme and SSSC Registration.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Andries Fourie, Care Services Manager (East) on 07788 206298.

Closing Date: 14 July 2024

Interviews: 18 and 19 July 2024
