Eildon Housing are looking to appoint a Senior Support Worker at their learning disability service in Duns. Supporting the management team with direct frontline supervisory responsibilities, this position will serve to support our team of Support Workers, from induction to on-the-job coaching, through the provision of formal and informal supervision. With responsibility for rota management and scheduling, this position will deal with first line response to day-to-day care queries and complaints, as well as carrying out a range of quality assurance and administrative duties.

If you have experience of supporting others to deliver excellent quality care and have a robust knowledge of SSSC Codes of Practice and the National Care Standards, this is the position for you! You will ensure we deliver on our promise of maximising independence and citizenship, empowering the people we support and promoting healthy and responsible lifestyles through the delivery of person-centred care practice.

Experience of working as part of an inclusive, multi-disciplinary approach would be a distinct advantage, as is a proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement and quality improvement.

You should ideally have (or be willing to work to achieve) an SVQ4 at SCQF Level 9 in Social Services and Healthcare. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staff, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learn and use new tools as they become available. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Eildon’s vision and values. You will need to be able to work a varied shift patterns, including waking nights, over 7 days, with individual requirements being discussed at interview stage.
