Enable is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with a range of support needs.
Stravaig provides emergency homeless accommodation for young people aged 16 to 25. We have 9 rooms at the service and each person we support has their own en-suite room, and has access to a communal lounge, dining room, games room and laundry facilities. All meals are provided, and we can cater for any dietary requirements and preferences. The purpose of Stravaig is to provide a safe, nurturing and stable environment and to work in partnership with the people we support to achieve positive outcomes. As we are an emergency accommodation the length of stay is typically 12 weeks, this is the period for stabilisation and preparing the people we support for independent living. The Stravaig project are looking for a Domestic to be an essential part of our team in creating a safe, welcoming environment for the people we support.
About You
The role requires working at least 4 days per week to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the building and provide some guidance to the people we support with self - care and living skills. You will also be required to carry out end of stay room cleans to turn rooms over for the next individual moving in.
The successful candidate should have:
- Good knowledge of Infection Control Measures
- An understanding of C.O.S.H.H Regulations
- The ability to monitor equipment required and ensure it meets current Health and Safety Standards
- The ability to monitor stock control and communicating with the Team Facilitator or Service Manager to order supplies
- Good motivation to manage your own workload and tasks as well as working as part of a team.
