The Service

Our Dunfermline Outreach Service provides Housing Support and Care at Home services to individuals living in their own homes across the West Fife area on an outreach basis.

We support individuals with wide ranging support needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs.

The Role

In your role as a Support worker you will:

• Assist with household tasks including shopping, cooking and meal preparation
• Support with medication and personal care (including intimate personal care)
• Take a person centred approach to help individuals achieve positive outcomes in life
• Work as part of a friendly, supportive and professional staff team to provide the highest quality of care
• Benefit from a supportive management team who will ensure you have the skills and knowledge to perform your role effectively
• Receive further learning and development opportunities including specialised training in response to the needs of the service

You Will

• Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
• Be organised with good time keeping skills
• Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis as well as part of a team
• Be flexible in respect of shift patterns as these will include; early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
• Have a full driving licence and use of your own vehicle
