We are recruiting Support Workers to join ‘Jack’s’ new team in Kirkintilloch. Jack is a young man with Dyspraxia and Autism.


Jack will be living in his own home and is seeking support with all aspects of his life, including taking care of his home and finances as well as developing and maintaining full and active participation in his local community.


Jack is very sociable, loves being out and about and likes to keep busy. Jack loves bowling, swimming, and travelling on the bus. Jack also loves playing cards and dominoes, baking and helping in the garden.


Jack has a full week of day activities, and we are looking for someone with the enthusiasm to support him to pursue all his interests.


A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with people with Autism would be helpful but not essential. What is most important is that you are confident, calm, patient and enthusiastic. The ability to listen to and value the views and opinions of Jack is key, and to offer him good advice around living his best life whilst keeping himself safe and secure.


Applicants should be able to work flexibly as part of the team, we provide 24 hour support each day with shift patterns including early shifts, backshifts, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
