Help transform lives like John.

Hello, I’m John and I live at the Carbeth House Service.

Based in Possilpark, Carbeth is a registered care home for people who experience Mental health illness and need some support to help them identify and achieve their outcomes. I have my own flat with in the building, but staff are in the building 24 hours a day for support including a sleepover in case I need anything during the night.

Staff in the service support me in achieve things in life I want to do, and I live a very happy life here at the service. Staff support me with my medications, social activities such as my passion for fishing, attending shows in the theatre, we go play pool and visit local cafes. They spend time with me encouraging and helping me to maintain my flat, come with me to my appointments and help in other general life skills. I require you to be open, flexible, non-judgmental and compassionate and like a good laugh.

The Carbeth Service is looking for enthusiastic mental health support workers who can think on their feet and are able to help to make a real difference to people we support. The project provides support for 9 individuals, in a comfortable relaxing environment. When people come to stay with us, they require individualised support tailored to enhancing their independence and learning them essential skills for potentially moving on to my own tenancy.

Are you ready to make a real difference to everyone at Carbeth?
