Countryview provides short breaks to families who have children with additional support needs. The service provides care for children from 5 years to 18 years on a regular planned basis. All the children are living at home with their families, and some refer to Countryview as their “holiday home”. The staff support the children to socialise and access community activities such as cinema and bowling or in house activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor and sensory play, computer games and baking.

Children and young people have the opportunity to grow and develop and to become more independent in making their own choices. Supporting our children and young people to be happy is important to us – we love having fun, making new friends, and sharing new experiences!

The staff at Countryview have come from a variety of back grounds, some with care experience and others with no formal background in care who may have taken the decision to have a change of career. Quarriers can provide SVQ3 training once they have been in post for a year and support is offered for staff to attend college to gain an HNC certificate. Quarriers has a committed training department for staff to develop the necessary skills to work with children with complex needs while being supported by the existing experienced team at Countryview. Staff are given an induction period consisting of shadow shifts, mentoring and online training and are supported to reach their potential. There are ongoing opportunities to expand staff’s knowledge and experience by visiting schools and similar services.

We are looking for full time and part time Project Workers - days and nights to join the Countryview team. There are various hours available ranging from full time 39 hours, part time 28 hours or 21 hours and 22 hours/weeknight shift. Examples of these shift patterns are: -

Full time - 39 hours – early shift - 7.15am to 2.45pm or late shift - 1.45pm to 9.30pm

Part time - 28 and 21 hours - early shift - 7am to 2pm or late shift- 2.30pm to 9.30pm.

Night shift - 22 hours - 9.15pm to 8.15am - 2 nights per week

We also offer flexibility for 16 or 20 hour posts of 4x4 hours or 5x4 hours with a mix of 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm.

Relief Project Worker roles are also available for candidates who are unable to commit to set contracted hours. A relief post allows the project to allocate shifts to you based on your availability.

Staff work a rota of one weekend off in three.

Project Workers provide comprehensive care and support to the children and young people within our service ensuring their safety and wellbeing. If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people with disabilities and would you like to join an energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced staff team, then we would like to hear from you!
