The Role
As a Bank Support Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that the individuals we support continue to receive high-quality, person-centred care, particularly when team members are on leave or attending training.
You’ll support individuals with disabilities and/or additional needs, helping them with everything from daily living tasks like meal prep and medication to attending appointments, enjoying activities, and maintaining personal care. Along with practical support, you’ll also offer emotional support, help individuals build relationships, and empower them to stay connected with family and friends.
The people we support love being involved in their communities! From arts and crafts to watching football or enjoying a delicious meal out, there’s never a dull moment. Some of the people we support also volunteer or attend college. As a Support Practitioner, you’ll get to know their interests, help them explore new hobbies, and make sure they have fun along the way!
To join our team, we’d love for you to bring:
- A compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Strong observation skills to truly understand and support those in your care.
- Clear and confident communication, both verbal and written.
- Comfort with using computers and tech to assist in daily tasks.
- The ability to work well both as part of a supportive team and independently.
- Excellent organisational skills to help manage your day effectively.
Shift Patterns
Our dedicated friendly team provide 24/7 support which is tailored to the needs of each individual, so depending on shift length you may be supporting more than one individual but do not worry as we factor travel into your hours. Our shifts include earlies, days, lates, sleepovers and waking nights.
