We are looking for a confident and dynamic Relief Support Worker who wants to make a difference in the lives of homeless people. Our role is to provide a safe place to stay and to access support for people who have substance use issues and complex needs. The service delivery model is rooted in the harm reduction approach, based on trauma informed practice, is strength based and uses person-centred approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients as part of person-centred support planning approach.
  • Liaising with other agencies to provide support and advocacy.
  • Respond effectively to the varying needs in a calm and supportive manner

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Motivation towards supporting homeless individuals to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.
  • The ability to form positive, supportive and motivating relationships.
  • Able to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army.
