ScotNursing & Medical Services: One of Scotland's Leading Nursing and Care Providers
Work with ScotNursing & Medical Services
At ScotNursing & Medical Services (SNMS), our people make the difference. Established in 1987, SNMS is one of Scotland's leading nursing and care agencies, providing Care at Home, Complex Care, Palliative Care, Occupational Health Services, and specialist Court and Prison Nursing services across the country.
Founded and led by a Registered Nurse and Midwife, we are one of the few nursing agencies in the UK with clinical leadership at the heart of everything we do, ensuring safe, high-quality and person-centred care. Whether you are an individual requiring nursing or care support, or an organisation seeking professional healthcare services, our experienced team is here to help. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with dedicated Nursing Coordinators available to provide responsive support and ensure the right care is delivered when and where it is needed.
Our services are available throughout Scotland, and our extensive team of Registered Nurses and skilled Care Professionals enables us to quickly match clients with appropriately qualified staff. Our reputation has been built on robust processes, a deep understanding of nursing and care services, investment in our workforce, and a commitment to continuous improvement through communication and feedback.
Our vision is to provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services that meet and exceed our clients' needs and expectations while enabling people to shape and adapt the support they receive, helping them maintain independence and enjoy the highest possible quality of life at every age and stage. When an individual is unable to live independently without additional support, SNMS provides a practical and cost-effective alternative to residential or nursing home care.
We support older people, individuals with disabilities, those living with complex, long-term or terminal conditions, and people with learning disabilities or mental health support needs. Our flexible services can be arranged at short notice and are tailored to each individual's needs and preferences, with support delivered by Registered Nurses, specialist Complex Care staff and trained carers through minimum four-hour visits that promote continuity, flexibility and choice.
At SNMS, we recognise that our staff are our greatest asset and are committed to providing high-quality clinical training, professional development opportunities and ongoing support tailored to individual roles. We support relevant SVQ qualifications, Nurses' Revalidation and continuous professional development, helping our staff achieve their career goals while delivering exceptional care. Alongside competitive rates of pay, we offer pension benefits, holiday entitlement, Vitality Health Insurance, wellbeing support and a positive working environment where colleagues feel valued, respected and empowered.
If you are passionate about helping people maintain their independence and improve their quality of life, SNMS offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career within a supportive, growing organisation that is truly "There for you by being the best."
