About the Role


The SAMH is the Outcome 2 Strategic Outcome Lead (SOL) for the implementation of the Scottish Government / COSLA suicide prevention strategy, Creating Hope Together. SOLs are responsible for providing prioritising the three-year action plan into annual delivery plans and setting approach for delivering them. SOLs also support and report on the work of delivery leads across a wide range of organisations within the Suicide Prevention Scotland delivery collective. Working closely with the SOLs for other outcomes and the National Delivery Lead the post holder will contribute to the leadership of Suicide Prevention Scotland.


What we are looking for

An experienced programme manager who is committed to reducing the risk of suicide in Scotland. In particular,

• Managing complex projects across sectors, particularly the interface between third sector and public sector.

• Managing relationships to inspiring and motivating partners to work towards common objectives.

• Being led by evidence from those with lived and living experience as well as academic and professional knowledge.

• Focus on delivery thought problem solving and confident decision making.
